Eve and Manny Torres are a complicated couple. She’s liberal, he’s
conservative. He’s a Republican, she’s a Democrat. She’s a
Christian, he’s agnostic. The old saying goes that opposites attract, and
that’s true of this couple. But opposites can also repel, and that’s
ALSO true of this couple.
Each day ~ no, each hour they are together ~ they are alternately
pleased or disgusted with each other’s point of view about
something. Alternately affectionate or angry about the way the other
has handled some aspect of their lives. Honestly, they are exhausting.
But it works for THEM.
Despite their differences, they love and respect one another and
they are committed to making things work. In a nutshell, Clear Blue
Water is about Eve and Manny’s efforts to raise five happy
children (including Seth, who is autistic), nurture a healthy marriage,
and maintain their ideals, all while living with their polar opposite. |
